| HBO On Demand is a great complement to your DVR. You control when you watch all your favorite HBO shows.
There's no need to program anything in advance. Just select the program of your choice and watch it whenever you want!
Your DVR can only record what's currently on TV and has limited recording space. So, it's great for recording programs on your other TV channels that don't offer the programs that HBO On Demand offers.
|
| "Video On Demand" is the generic name for a pay-per-view service that offer programs on demand and bills you for each one you watch.
HBO On Demand is subscription based. This means you can watch any program HBO On Demand has to offer when you want and as often as you want instead of paying for each individual show. |

| While the Hi-Definition (HD) programming schedule brings you the same great HBO programming you've always enjoyed, the quality of your picture is better. You don't just watch it. You feel it. HBO HD uses an advanced digital signal; that means your picture will be bold and crystal clear. It also provides CD quality sound for a total viewing experience. |
Up-converted HD refers to programs that were not originally produced in high definition but have been "up-converted" to improve the picture quality. Essentially, standard definition digital programs on an HD set will look noticeably better, but will still not be "true" HD superior quality.
True High Definition programming is content that has been recorded using high definition cameras or films that have been transferred to 1080x1920 format. It's the biggest titles in millions of pixels per 16:9 wide screen frame, coming at you! |
At this time, 86% of HBO's programs are delivered in True HD* and the rest are up-converted to improve the image for an HD set. ENTOURAGE® and BIG LOVESM are produced in True HD format, along with HBO Original Films.
